Research Activities
Atomic and Molecular Processes in Plasmas


The working group on basic data on atomic processes has collected and evaluated the atomic and molecular data (AM Data) as well as plasma-material interaction data (PMI Data.) These data seem indispensable to study plasma modeling, diagnostics, or data analysis in fusion or plasma experiments. The four databases listed in Table I are maintained by the center. Since the replacement of our computer system, these databases have been reconstructed on the basis of a relational database managing system (ORACLE), accessible through the World Wide Web. Registered users with accounts from the computer center at NIFS can access these databases on the World Wide Web (see below). Another Web page for the introduction to AM databases is also available.
